After being closed for more than 10 years, the newly renovated museum of contemporary art is an important stop when visiting the left side of the river. Besides the historical relevance that it holds, the museum is a testimony for Yugoslavian and Serbian art, something people don’t hear about too often.
The schedule for the 2019 version of the spectacular annual arts festival taking place in Athens and Epidaurus, Greece was announced on Tuesday.
The festival this year will include musical, theatrical and many other cultural events and will take place on selected dates in June, July and August of 2019.
“Sequences” encompasses the period from the beginning of the 20th century to the present, showcasing art created in Yugoslavia and Serbia today. “Sequences” is a historical exhibition that includes contemporary art, with the primary aim of reaffirming MoCAB’s collection and offering a new framework by which to become acquainted with and understand the art made on these territories.
Summertime performances in Amsterdam
Head to the Open Air Theatre in Amsterdam's Vondelpark to catch summertime performances from children's acts, classical presentations or the latest Dutch or international pop performer. From May until early September you'll find a lot going on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free, although all voluntary donations are appreciated.
