Exhibition. Beautiful Lace & Carine Gilson
From 10 July 2019 to 19 April 2020 at the Fashion & Lace Museum.
For the last 30 years, in Brussels, Carine Gilson has been creating luxury lingerie that combines silk and lace and is worn by the world's most beautiful women. Brussels lace has had the world's crème de la crème at its fingertips for the last 200 years. These fine fabrics have been worn by kings, queens and powerful leaders around the world.
The exhibition offers an encounter between these two periods of lace, transporting us into a world of sensuality, affectation and virtuosity. It will feature around 60 creations by the Maison Carine Gilson, tracing her career, alongside key pieces from the Museum's lace collection.
