Potsdam Palace Night

In summer each year, the parks and palaces of Sanssouci in Potsdam celebrate the bygone pomp and glory of the Prussian Kings.

The Potsdam Palace Night makes the pompous lives of the Prussian kings come alive. For two days, the gardens, temples and palaces around Sanssouci Palace open their doors for visitors and allow them a glimpse into the baroque lifestyle of Frederick the Great and his royal contemporaries.

Brilliantly illuminated park and buildings

Sanssouci, the former summer residence of said Frederick the Great, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site embedded in an extensive park landscape conceived by famed landscape architect Peter Lenné. During Potsdam Palace Night, both park and buildings are brilliantly illuminated and peopled by illustrious figures.
