The festivals also features both well-known and as-yet undiscovered storytellers from Turku.
Schools will participate through Story Harvests. Schoolchildren will have the chance to explore storytelling and teachers will be provided with reference material, with the goal of publishing a storytelling book for the 2011 Turku International Book Fair.
Turku will also host an outdoor storytelling event that brings together the entire multilingual city as well as a Nordic championships event on storytelling. There will also be an opening of exhibition Golden Merganser in the Koroinen Café. The events will be produced by the production company Koti cooperative, together with Sydkustens landskapsförbund Association.

The tradition of Finnish storytelling comes alive and rises to new heights as “Nordiska Röster – Nordic Voices” brings new and lively storytelling to Turku and the Åboland region.
