The Festival de Folclore Internacional – Alto Minho is a symbol of understanding and conviviality.
This week long International Folklore Festival, always taking place in early September, includes Grand Galas in the most ancient parlour of the most northern Atlantic city in Portugal - Viana do Castelo – but also performances at several social and cultural institutions, an initiative that shows the Festival’s solidarity towards those who cannot attend the evening events.
The Festival has always offered an ambitious and diversified programme that strengthens cultural miscegenation, simultaneously contributing for the promotion of traditional culture and helping to distinguish Viana do Castelo as Capital of Portuguese Folklore.
