The European Piano Contest Bremen will be held from 26 February 2012 - 7 March 2012
The European Piano Contest Bremen will be held from February 26th, 2012 (arrival) to March 7th, 2012 (concert of the finalists) in Bremen.
Admitted to Participate
are pianists from Europe including the former Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Turkey and Israel.
and conditions are to be found in the Contest Rules and Regulations and Guidelines on the followingpages. The contest is open to the public.
At the end of the contest a double CD will be produced with the prize winners.
The Landesmusikrat Bremen e.V. member of the Deutscher Musikrat, the Sparkasse Bremen, Radio Bremen, the Glocke Veranstaltungs-GmbH and the Bremer Philharmoniker GmbH, the Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk as well as the Sendesaal Bremen cordially invite you to participate in the European Piano Contest Bremen 2012.

Conditions of Participation
— Citizenship of a European country including the former CIS, Turkey, and Israel
— Proof of piano studies
— Age requirements – participants must be born between 1982 and 1996
— Applications in German or English
— The main committee will decide on the admission of contestants: The candidates will be informed of the respective decision no later than November 15th, 2011.
— The order of performance will be drawn.
— Candidates must personally register at the contest office on February 26th, 2012. As long as the contestants continue to take part in the contest, they should stay in Bremen (prize winners after finishing the CD-production).
— After the second round the six contestants with the highest score will be admitted to the semi finals. After the semi finals the three finalists will be nominated.
— All participants are in the agreement that the performances are recorded by radio and TV. All rights of recording and distribution are transferred to the Landesmusikrat Bremen e.V.
— The public announcement of the prize winners and the prize awarding ceremony will take place at the end of the contest.
— By registering, contestants agree with these rules and regulations. A registration will only be valid with complete documents.
— The decisions of the jury are final, any recourse to legal action excluded.

The online application has to include:
— the completely filled out application form,
— the complete contest program incl. movements and playing times
Attachments to the application in pdf or jpg:
— proof of citizenship (scanned copy of identity card or passport)
— curriculum vitae in tabular form in German or English (course of studies, place of studies, name of professor/teacher, concert activities)
— certificate of studies, diploma or letter of personal recommendation
— one photo in passport picture format (300dpi)
— the contest program (in German or English) which you are going to perform in accordance with the Rules and Regulations.

Public’s Award: 2.000,- € (Bremer Tageszeitung AG)
